How we farm

which came first:

the egg or the hen?

for us, it's clear it was

the grain

Take a close look at our supply chain and how we make the world more organic and regenerative every day.

Where it all happens

Our home is in Avaré, in the São Paulo countryside.

Our whole farm is there: from the feed mill to the hens, every step happens in one place, up close and under our watch.

From grain to plate, no shortcuts

Seven steps we oversee closely, with plenty of technology at every stage of production.

Step 01

Supporting farmers

We help farmers on their journey from conventional to organic and regenerative agriculture.
To do that, we offer:

  • Technical assistance
  • Support with organic certification
  • Help sourcing inputs
  • Guaranteed purchase
  • Segregated grain storage
  • Price premium on purchase

Step 02

Our own feed mill

Ever heard “you are what you eat”? It's true. That's why our hens only eat plant-based, organic and regenerative feed — no GMOs, pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Their diet matters so much to us that we built our own feed mill right on the farm.

Step 03

Rearing

Our little Fridas arrive at the farm just one day old. During rearing — the birds' “early childhood” — we use Jump Start, Dutch equipment never before used in South America: adjustable-height perches and platforms, raised as the chicks grow, that encourage them to explore, take short flights, balance and roost. So they grow up stronger and ready to live out their natural instincts.

Step 04

Laying

At around 20 weeks, the hen starts laying. Free access to pasture, organic feed and room to move strengthen her immunity naturally. A hen that eats well and lives well lays better eggs.

Step 05

Egg grading and quality

We're very strict about quality. Besides manual checks, we use a Crack Detector to spot hairline cracks in the shell invisible to the naked eye. After grading, every egg is stamped with our name and an upright best-before date, so nobody has to tilt their head to read it. Yes, we're that picky.

Step 06

Logistics

From our farm in Avaré, eggs ship daily to thousands of retail and food service outlets across Brazil. Our care doesn't stop at the farm gate.

And that's how our products reach you fresh. This is when they become food for your life — and for the lives of so many others.

The top step

From caged to organic, each step means more care for the hen and the land. We chose to start at the top.
